Connecting CXP Survey Data to the CDP
This article explains how to link your TrustYou CXP Survey to the CDP so that guest feedback flows automatically into the right customer profiles.
What it is
The Survey hotel ID mapping connects each of your properties in the CDP to its matching property in TrustYou CXP Survey. Once every property is mapped, guest survey responses are automatically linked to the correct location, so feedback shows up on the right guest's profile in the CDP instead of staying siloed in CXP Survey.
Why it matters
Guests share valuable information in surveys, from satisfaction ratings to specific comments about their stay, and this feedback is most useful when it's connected to everything else you know about that guest. Mapping your properties ensures that survey responses are automatically added to the corresponding guest profile, giving your team a fuller view of each guest without any manual work.
Before you start
The Survey hotel ID mapping only takes effect once a TrustYou CXP Survey connector is set up for your organization. If no connector is configured yet, you'll see a "Not configured" status and a prompt to add one before your property mappings can become active.
How to configure it
Go to Settings, found under the Organization section in the left-hand menu. Scroll to the Survey hotel IDs panel.
If you see a message that no TrustYou CXP Survey connector is configured, click Add connector, or navigate to Connectivity, then Connectors, to set one up. Once the connector is in place, return to Settings to continue mapping your properties.
For each property listed in the table, enter its corresponding Survey hotel ID in the field next to it. This ID identifies the property within TrustYou CXP Survey and is what allows the CDP to match incoming survey responses to the right location. You can use the search bar to quickly find a specific property by name, and toggle 'Show unmapped' only to filter the list down to properties that still need an ID entered.
Each property's status column shows whether it has been mapped. Properties without a Survey hotel ID entered are marked Unmapped; once you've entered and saved an ID, the status updates to reflect that the mapping is active.
What happens next
As soon as a property is mapped and the CXP Survey connector is active, the CDP is ready to ingest guest feedback from that property's survey. New survey responses will be matched to the mapped property and added to the corresponding guest's profile automatically, no further action needed.
How the CXP data appears in CDP
Using the Customer Details section and its CXP Feedback tab will allow you to get insights of historical feedback on guest profile level.
