Events in CDP are triggers that you can define for targeted messages to be sent out.
In order to set up an Event in CDP, click on "+ Add Event" and then choose the type of event:
The available Event Types are:
- After Booking
- After Cancellation
- After Check-in
- After Check-out
- Before Arrival
- Before Check-out
After choosing the appropriate Event Type, you need to define the following:
- Location for which this Event should be used (multiple can be selected)
- Target Audience
- Guest Type (Booker/Main Guest/Additional Guest)
- Event title (name under which it will be listed)
- Time span (define a delay of X minutes/hours/days for the Event to trigger)
- Type (Mailchimp transactional, Twilio, webhook)
And depending on the selected type, the corresponding mailchimp/twilio connector or webhook URL must be added.
